A small business grant can provide the extra push you need to succeed.

It is in the government's best interest to stimulate business growth and encourage entrepreneurs. For this reason, the state of New York, like many governments, offers grants to promising organizations. New York offers most of its grants to businesses that will help alleviate problems such as traffic congestion, pollution and the economic disparities that exist between various demographic groups.

  1. NYCCE Grant

    • New York City has long been trying to cut down on the amount of vehicles congesting its streets, and one solution for this is a more common use of public transportation. For this reason, New York City offers grants to businesses that actively or passively support this mission. Through CommuterLink, businesses can secure a New York City Commute Enhancement grant to pay for projects like shuttle buses and bike racks. Businesses are eligible for up to $10,000.

    NYCfNAC Infrastructure Grants

    • The mission of the New York City Financial Network Action Consortium is to broaden the access of basic financial services for low-income communities. For this reason, the consortium offers grants to those who seek to help accomplish this purpose by doing things like establishing credit unions and placing ATMs in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
