The University of Oxford is one of the top medical schools in the world. Medical studies in the U.K. differ somewhat from those in the United States, in that students pursue medical studies at the undergraduate level. Students first pursue pre-clinical studies, before moving on to clinical training and then graduate studies. In addition to the more traditional medical program, Oxford offers programs in biomedical science, biochemistry, physiological sciences, experimental psychology and psychology, physiology, and philosophy. Like the program at Oxford, Cambridge students begin their medical studies with pre-clinical courses, before moving on to clinical and graduate studies. Graduate studies take four years to complete.
