Recognition Board Ideas
If you work in human resources at your company, you likely think about employees' well-being and ways to recognize their achievements. Bring awareness to specific employee achievements and the specific ways specific employees make the workplace a better place to be by creating a bulletin board display that features photos and stories of these employees.
-
Community Service Recognition
-
Each month, highlight the volunteer work of an employee and the specific ways the employee goes out of his or her way to make the community a better place. Make sure you display a photograph of the employee--and some candid photos of the employee in action in the community. It is especially important to highlight the partnership the employee shares with community members. You also can use part of the board to communicate to employees how they can nominate an employee to be featured in the "Community Service Recognition" section of the bulletin board.
High Honors Recognition
-
Create a bulletin board that displays photographs and stories of employees who have attained "high honors" at the company. This can include promotions, graduations from job-specific programs and courses, and achievement in reaching sales goals. You will want to include short bios of each employee as well as a specific description of their "high honors."
-
Cubicle Buddy Awards
-
Create a bulletin board that recognizes the "Cubicle Buddy Award." This is an award that is given to the employee who goes out of his or her way to make the workplace a better place. Perhaps the employee drives the weekly carpool and wakes up early to make sure he can pick up his co-workers. Or perhaps this employee remembers every co-worker's birthday and always bakes a cake. Employees like these make outstanding workers and improve the health of the workplace. Employees can nominate co-workers for this award. The monthly winner can be featured on the bulletin board with his or her photo, bio and why fellow co-workers believed this person should be the recipient of the "Cubicle Buddy Awards."
