The way your deck and garden pond fit together depends on you. You can have your deck surround your garden pond entirely, or you can have the deck curve around three or fewer sides of the pond. If you want to plant water plants along the edge of your garden pond, place a deck off to one side of the pond.
Put A Pond On Your Deck

If your deck is already built but you want to add a pond as a water feature, install a pond on top of your deck.
