Online Advanced Nursing Degrees
Several schools of nursing now offer entire degrees online. In some cases, these degrees are advanced degrees beyond the bachelor's degree at either the master's or doctoral levels. In a profession like nursing where the hours can be long and rotations vary on a weekly basis, online nursing degrees at the graduate level can provide nurses an opportunity to continue their education beyond the bachelor's degree.

The program meets the standards set forth by the American Association of Colleges and Nursing, a professional organization committed to the advancement of higher education in the discipline of nursing. Students take their coursework entirely online but are expected to apply what they have learned through clinical practice wherever they are currently employed. Courses of study taken during the program include many that teach students to translate evidence gained from empirical investigation into practical application for the nursing profession.

Unlike many nursing programs that may offer one or two online nursing degrees, Drexel University offers seven different specializations within the master of science degree program and an additional degree completion program for registered nurses.
