Thousands of tourists visit Poipu Beach Park on the Hawaiian island of Kauai every year to take in its warm Pacific waters, the great golfing opportunities and other outdoor activities such as surfing, hiking, fishing and horse-back riding.   1. Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club

    • The Waiohai Beach Club features guest rooms with two bedrooms, which sleep up to six guests. Although Poipu Beach Park lies within five miles of the hotel, guests have a plethora of activities at the hotel itself. These include a spa, salon, fitness center and a number of pools including a children's pool, an adult pool, a whirlpool and a pool that lies both indoors and outdoors. The Market Place Deli serves up sandwiches, soups and snacks as well as gift items. The deli stays open for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The hotel also offers an on-site picnic and barbecue area. The hotel features wireless Internet access throughout its property.

    Sheraton Kauai Resort

    • Located right on Poipu Beach, the Sheraton Kauai Resort offers 394 guest room suites, which lie in one of three buildings: Ocean Wing, Garden Wing and Beach Wing. The hotel also features a spa, an Internet library and a private stretch of beach. The hotel's activity center provides beach gear such as scuba equipment, snorkeling equipment and boogie boards. Three pools including a children's pool lie on the property, as well as tennis courts and a fitness center. Guests have a number of dining options from which to choose, including Shells Restaurant, Oasis Bar & Grill, Naniwa Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar, and Surf to Sunset Luau, Kauai's only oceanfront luau.

    Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa

    • Sitting just a few miles from Poipu Beach Park, the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa offers enough activities for a full vacation right on its property. The hotel offers the world-class Anara Spa, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, nightly entertainment such as luaus and jazz concerts, and freshwater pools with a water slide. Guests also kayak in the salt water lagoons on the property. The resort sits on its own private section of beach. The dining options at the resort hotel include the Italian cuisine of Dondero's, the fine dining experience at Tidepools and the outdoor restaurant Llima Terrace.
