There are many different options for decorating a table for Christmas. Decorating using nature, metallics, or candles will bring a festive feeling to any Christmas dinner. There are many types of appealing décor, but make sure to stick with only one, as this will present a more elegant table setting for your Christmas dinner.
Instead of using traditional red and green or blue and white colors, use neutral-colored metallics. This will create a very sophisticated look at your dinner table. There are many fun, creative ways to get the entire family involved in this type of decor. Create a centerpiece to use by filling up a glass vase with silver and gold ornaments, or ornaments that are the color of your table settings. For your place card settings, use glitter paint and write the name of each person on an ornament, and place them where you want each person to sit.
Using candles as centerpieces provide a festive sensibility for any type of theme. These can be metallic candles, red and green candles or blue and white candles. You can also poke holes in tin canisters to make designs of your choice. Then, put tea lights in the canisters and admire your stylish designs.
Use natural accents, like flowers, cranberries and evergreen branches. For your name tags, place papers with the names printed on them in the top of pine cones, and place the pine cones at the designated seat. Put flowers, like poinsettias, in the center of the table. Or, to spruce up the poinsettias, fill a glass vase with water and cranberries, then add poinsettias to the vase.
