Names of Latin Dance Clubs in South Beach, Florida

With a large Latino population and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, the Miami area is a hot spot for Latin dancing. High-energy night clubs that feature Latin dance music played by either disc jockeys or live bands can be found in the South Beach area of Miami Beach. Some of these clubs also feature salsa dance classes as part of the package.

  • Jazid is a popular nightclub in Miami Beach that plays Latin dancing music seven nights a week. The club offers a variety of music including jazz and rock and roll, but upbeat Latin music with a salsa beat is the most common dance music in an establishment that has dance floors and bar areas both upstairs and down. The music is provided by DJs as well as professional bands that have their own large followings. In 2008, Jazid was named as the bar with the best live music in South Florida by the "AOL City Guide" and Miami's "The SunPost." Although downstairs is the main area for dancing, the upstairs lounge also has a large dance floor and plush couches for seating.
