Accredited Pharmacy Technician Schools
Pharmacy technicians assist licensed pharmacists with duties such as preparing medications, counting pills and labeling prescription bottles. Pharmacy technicians must be registered with their state board of pharmacy, which require graduating from a pharmacy technician program that is accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists. Pharmacy technicians may also volunteer to become certified with professional organizations such as the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians.
