Wallpaper
-
Choose a wallpaper color and pattern to match your personality. Wallpaper designs vary from basic color to a simple pattern or something resembling luxurious fabric. You may apply the wallpaper in a fashion where it becomes a wall with a chair railing. In this instance, the bottom half of the wall is covered in wallpaper and the top half is painted. Apply trim molding where the two sections meet. You may also wallpaper the entire wall. Possibly, you may want to create an accent wall in your master bedroom with wallpaper. To do this, simply wallpaper one wall in the master bedroom and leave the remaining walls with their current treatment.
Fabric
-
If you don't want to paint or wallpaper your master bedroom, cover your walls in fabric. "Better Homes and Gardens" recommends brushing clear, nonstaining vinyl adhesive or cellulose paste onto the wall slightly larger than the fabric's width. Apply more glue to the edges of fabric to prevent them from unraveling. This will ensure that the fabric stays secure to the wall. For a romantic, elegant look, purchase silk fabric and apply to your master bedroom walls with glue. Apply a stain-resistant treatment to the fabric before installing on your master bedroom walls, so that finger marks and other unwanted stains will not appear.

Sponge Paint
-
Sponge painting incorporates two or more colors applied to your wall with the use of a sponge specifically designed for this application. When you try to imagine how this technique looks, think of marble, only without the vine lines. If you wish for a romantic atmosphere in your bedroom, possibly paint your wall a tan and then sponge on brown and maroon paints.
Stencil
-
Perhaps you already adore your master bedroom walls, but you want detail added. Stencil a border around your bedroom. Purchase a stencil at your local hobby store or hardware store and apply it to the walls. Stencils come in a variety of options. You may wish to stencil a basic heart around the master bedroom walls or a more complicated design.
Color Wash
-
Color washing your walls can add intrigue. You do not need to repaint your bedroom walls a different color. Purchase your desired color of paint that will appear on your walls with the current color. To color wash, mix water with your paint and use a rag to gently apply a light base of color. You may color wash areas only behind wall decorations if you do not want to color wash your entire master bedroom walls but would like to highlight certain areas.
