Texas Security Guard Training Schools
In Texas prospective security guards must attend classes and receive training before they are legally allowed to work as part of a security force. The law requires that the training be at least 30 hours. There are four levels of certification for security forces in Texas, higher levels require more training, but usually offer increased pay and responsibility.

Sentry Security and Investigation
-
In addition to training services, Sentry Security and Investigation is an operating security provider. This means that after training you could potentially become employed by Sentry Security and Investigation as a security guard. Notably, the firm helped to protect then Governor George W. Bush when he ran for president. The term "guard" is looked on with disdain by the company who call their security personnel "officers." This is reflected in the motto of the training division, "The difference between a security guard and a security officer is training!"
