Bathroom Renovation Projects
A bathroom renovation project can turn your bathroom into a stylish, modern room and add value to your home. Costs for bathroom renovation projects run from a few hundred dollars to replace a sink to thousands of dollars for a completely new bathroom. Does this Spark an idea?

Give It a Facelift
-
For a basic bathroom remodeling, you can make cosmetic changes. Replace old, peeling flooring with modern tile, wood or natural stone. Paint the walls a contemporary bathroom shade, add a tile mosaic or install wainscoting to update an older look. If bathroom elements, such as the bathtub, toilet or sink are an unusual shade, such as pink or blue, replace them with modern, bright white bathroom elements from a home improvement store. White tubs with a little wear can often be reglazed, and a simple coat of paint on an old vanity or bathroom cabinet can bring the piece into the present.
Reorganize It
-
If your bathroom seems cramped or elements are positioned oddly, reorganizing your bathroom can clear up some space. Reorganizing a bathroom typically includes moving at least one element, such as the tub, and often includes extensive plumbing work to move pipes. However, the overall effect and space created by reorganizing the position of some items can give you just the space you need.
For a more intensive project, knock out walls to make a larger bathroom. Move the toilet away from the door or turn your bathtub into a large shower. No matter how you reorganize the elements, remember to leave a wider walkway. -
Add On
-
If you have the room in your bathroom, add another element. A second sink can add value and appeal to your home when you sell it or add value by converting a half-bath into a full-bath by installing a bathtub or shower. For a little luxury, add a separate shower or bathtub to an existing bathroom meant to be used by two or more people, such as the master bathroom.
