The pub fare reflects traditional Irish items as well as cultural influences from world cuisine. Appetizers include oak-smoked salmon bites on boxty or chicken boxty quesadilla--the boxty is a potato pancake with special ingredients cooked on a griddle. Other offerings include shepherd's pie, all-day Irish breakfast and pulled lamb French dip. Libations include a multitude of Irish beers, whiskeys and coffees, among other drinks. Live music and events round out the appeal of this Irish pub.

The 27 home brews at SBC Restaurant and Brewery beckons guests to try a pint, but to stay for the atmosphere and brunch, lunch or dinner. The brews range from lighter blondes and seasonal fruit ales to medium pilsners and pale ales. The stouts, porters and English pale ale round out the tastes with the most hops. The food offerings include appetizers ranging from New England clam chowder to nachos or iron beef tips. Entrees include main dish salads, barbecue selections, pastas, fish and seafood dishes, steaks and the house specialty of pork and beans. The contemporary interior contrasts the gleaming metal tanks in the brewery with the dark hardwood floors, tables and seating. Karaoke takes place on Thursday night.

This family-owned pub offers home-cooked meals, beer, wine and cocktails in the heart of downtown Stamford. More than 42 TV screens entice sports aficionados to sip a brew. Daily menu specials, football specials and happy hour specials populate the menu and include half-price sliders or pizzas on certain days as well as specials on draft beers. Appetizers, soup, chili, entree salads, sandwiches, wraps and burgers are always available. Full-order entrees include pasta, fish and chips, and vegetables stir-fried, all served with a small salad. Grab a homemade chocolate chip cookie before leaving. An outdoor patio is open during warm months for drinks and food.
