Imagine waking up to that image every day.

For people who love to be outside and travel across the world, there are many perks to getting a job on a cruise ship. While not every such job is a glamorous one, almost all of them provide some level of enjoyment and excitement for those who are willing to jump in with both feet.

  1. Travel

    • The cornerstone of any cruise line is travel to exotic locations. Most cruises make frequent trips to the Caribbean and several gorgeous port cities in North and South America. Some cruise lines also travel to Europe and visit cities in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Greece, among other nations. If you want to see the world and visit beautiful tourist spots, working on a cruise line is an excellent way to do this.

    Experiencing People and Cultures

    • Working on a cruise ship and seeing so many ports exposes you to a wide range of cultures. As you travel you will see the ways people live as well as meet a wide array of people, all of whom can teach you much about where you are and how they live.

    Pay

    • When looking at the raw numbers, people who work on cruise liners may not make the most money in the world. Before you jump to conclusions, there are two things to remember. One is that you have zero expenses while working on a cruise liner. You do not pay bills, nor rent, and the food is complimentary. The other is that the pay is not taxed. This means that every dollar you earn goes into your pocket.

    Waking Up At Work

    • If you are tired of waking up two hours early to get in your car and sit in traffic for an hour, you will be pleased to know that you never have to worry about that on a cruise ship. Every morning when you wake up you are a shower and a meal away from being at your place of work.
