This conservation center in Mansfield hosts annual youth birding competitions for kids and encourages school clubs, teams and scout troops to join. The center groups kids according to age to compete with fellow bird enthusiasts in counting the birds in the establishment. During this 24-hour competition, teams try to count as many bird species as they can in Georgia. An opportunity for youth to learn about the state's avian wildlife, the competition also helps students build bonds with fellow team members and meet new people.

The center keeps these Australian kangaroos in Georgia to preserve endangered kangaroos among other wildlife creatures. The only conservation center breeding rare blue-winged kookaburras outside their natural habitat, the center also showcases The KangaRanger Ride and Wander, a 30-minute ride tour around kangaroos in their habitat.
