The University of Toronto is Canada's largest university in terms of student population and faculty size.

The Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada represents universities and colleges across the country. Along with provincial charters which permit universities to grant degrees, membership in the association represents accreditation. Annual rankings of Canadian universities are published by "Maclean's" magazine, and a select group of schools consistently rank among the top in the country.

    McGill University
