Grapevine Wreath Projects
Grapevine wreaths are decorative wreaths formed out of grapevine and dried in different shapes. You can make your own hand-woven grapevine wreaths or purchase them---unfinished, painted or lacquered---from home decor and crafts stores. If you can get fresh grapevines, you can form your own grapevine wreath. The Ruby Glen website project, "How to Make a Grapevine Wreath," instructs forming a circle from a long grapevine then winding additional grapevine around the circle until your wreath is the size and shape you desire. The Ruby Glen project suggests drying the assembled grapevine wreath in the sun for about two weeks.

For example, the Craft Elf website decorates a Halloween grapevine wreath with autumn leaves, fall-colored ribbon, and pipe-cleaner ghost and pumpkin shapes. The Crafts-For-All-Seasons website decorates a heart-shaped grapevine wreath with silk roses and Valentine's Day wire. No matter which holiday or special occasion wreath you make, you can use hot glue or floral wire to attach any applicable decorations (e.g., silk flowers, painted wooden shapes, raffia, etc.).
