Blue & White Emo Hair Styles
Emo is short for emotional, but the goth culture sub set is known for a lot more than emotion. Emo haircuts, which are similar for both emo guys and emo girls, are a hallmark of the culture. Famous emo observers like muscician Pete Wentz and actor Jared Leto have perfected the classic emo hair: a stick-straight black bob with fringe bangs. Variations on this style include colorful hues, such as blue and white blond. Does this Spark an idea?

The Emo Cut for Women
-
Before applying colors, be sure that your hair is styled in the emo way, which is similar for boys and girls. For women, cheeks should be framed by shoulder-length or longer layers while bangs should reach the eyebrows and be swept to the side. For longer hair, the crown of the head is fluffed to create volume, while short styles are spiked around the crown.
The Emo Cut for Men
-
Male emo cuts vary slightly from the female version. Hair is cropped to reach ear-length with choppy layers. Bangs are grown to about the same length as female emos, which is to the eyebrows or longer, and also swept to the side. Height or spikes can be added to the crown of the head, or hair can be smoothed down.

Blue and White Emo Hair
-
When emo hair is made to be white and blue there is normally a pattern; blue throughout the bangs, to either highlight or cover the entire bang area, with the rest of the hair being white blond.
Strip Hair Color
-
Unless your hair is naturally light, you'll need to strip the color from your strands (also known as bleaching). The process requires a skilled hair technician and, as a result, very few drugstore products are even strong enough to achieve this, especially if your hair is brown or black. If you would like to attempt the white blond at home, go for a simple, one-step coloring kit to reduce the odds of making mistakes.
Add Blue Color
-
Blue hair color is not a product that most drugstores carry, so you might have to visit a speciality beauty supply store or order color online. Haircolor brand Manic Panic sold blue color via the Internet for about $10 in 2010. If you're coloring at home, apply this color about four to six weeks after you bleach the rest of your head. This wait time is standard for all chemical processes of the hair.
