DIY goth Halloween costumes are inexpensive and easy to make.

Some people say that, for a goth, Halloween is every day. So when a goth wears creepy makeup all year long, what else is left to do when the real Halloween comes around? Sure you could just go as your normal creepy self, or you can have a little fun and dress up. With a little imagination, and your superb skills with dark makeup, you can become a DIY Halloween goth in no time!

  1. Goth Fairy Princess Ghost

    • Purchase a little black dress, a pair of black glittery wings, black fishnets, a tiara, and a container of white face paint. Tear the dress along the hem to make it as short (or long) as you want it. Rip the fishnets, put on the tiara and wings. Apply white face paint to your entire face and any other exposed skin. Finish the look off with smokey eyeshadow and black eyeliner, mascara and lipstick.

    Goth Zombie

    • Purchase old black clothes from a secondhand store and rip them up to give them a ragged look. Apply white face makeup to the entire face and any exposed skin. Rim your eyes with black shadow and apply black lipstick. Paint your nails black to finish off the look. Get into character by watching "The Night of the Living Dead."

    Satanic School Girl

    • Purchase a short, red or black plaid, pleated skirt, black oxford button-up shirt, white thigh-high stockings, and black platform Mary-Janes. Tie the shirt so that it bares your midriff à la Britney Spears, and rip up the white thigh-highs. Put your hair up in messy pigtails. Apply white makeup to the entire face and any other exposed skin. Complete the look with black eyeliner, mascara and lipstick.
