Singles from all over the world visit Goa from November through April, the high season (May marks the start of monsoon season). Goa is recognized for festivals, rave parties, yoga retreats and adventure sports. Single travelers can spend the day scuba diving, paragliding, sea kayaking, beach walking, biking or just meditating.
Exploring Goa beyond the beach is a must. Art museums, temples and churches define the area's history. Private or group tours can be purchased at the Goa airport or a local travel agency. Double-check with a guide book to find out which travel agencies are recognized as legitimate. Most tourists lodge in Calagnute, Candolim or Baga beach. Palolem beach is recommended for a low-key and relaxing environment.

This beach party occurs once a month, when several thousand tourists from all over the world come and celebrate life with the local Thai people. For a more tranquil spot, try the Sanctuary Spa Resort on Haad Tien beach. Holistic singles can be found reading a book on the beach, breaking a sweat at yoga class or sipping on coconut water.
Koh Phangan offers a variety of sights. Day trips can be booked at local travel agencies or motor bikes can be rented from Haad Rin beach to see the island at a leisurely pace. Recommended stops include Phang Waterfall Forest Park, the Chinese temple Kuan Yin Shrine and the 400-year-old Buddhist monument Wat Nai.
