Colleges That Give EMT Training

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts the demand for emergency medical technicians (EMTs) will increase by 9 percent from 2008 through 2018. A number of colleges in the United States offer EMT training programs. Carrying the approval of the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program, these colleges prepare students for licensing examinations required to work as EMTs in their respective states.

    • Established in 1946, Mt. San Antonio College is a public two-year institution with more than 40,000 for-credit students at its campus in Walnut, California, a community 25 miles east of Los Angeles.
