Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, which hugs the Atlantic Ocean on the eastern corner of the state, is a popular southern tourist destination due to its mild weather and pretty ocean setting.     • Myrtle Beach's Giant Crab Seafood Restaurant is located on Highway 17's restaurant row, and overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway. Styled to look like a fisherman's wharf village, this restaurant features a 40 foot waterfall, a lazy river, a 50-foot lighthouse and a giant orange crab perched atop the building's entrance. The Giant Crab is a buffet-style restaurant which features over 170 items, including all you can eat Alaskan snow crabs. Other buffet items include crab imperial, oysters Rockefeller, sushi, steak, fried chicken, ribs, shrimp creole, and a fruit and dessert bar. Children can also enjoy their own separate "Kid's Corner" buffet with kid-friendly selections, such as hot dogs and pizza. The Giant Crab's Pirate's Island Tavern also serves alcohol and specialty cocktails such as Hurricanes, some of which come with a free souvenir glass.

    • Bennetts Calabash Seafood was the first all you can eat seafood buffet in Myrtle Beach, and has been in the area since 1985. Bennetts has three locations in the area, and combined they steam approximately 400,000 lbs. of Alaskan snow crab legs a year. The buffet also includes a raw bar, salad bar, soup bar, dessert bar and a hot food bar featuring seafood, meat and vegetables.

    • Joe's Crab Shack is a mid-sized chain restaurant with a location in Myrtle Beach. Started in 1991 in Houston, Texas, Joe's had sold over 21 millions pounds of crab by 1996. The menu features Alaskan snow crab legs, king crab and dungeness crab served by the bucket with a choice of flavor, such as dry rubbed BBQ or classic steamed. Other menu items include shrimp dishes, burgers, fish, lobster and steak. Beer and specialty cocktails are also served.
