        Chicago is the largest city in Illinois. It is often called the Windy City because of its strong winds off of Lake Michigan during the summer and fall seasons.         Take a ride on the 15-story tall Ferris wheel. Watch 3D movies at the IMAX theatre on site. Three floors of fun for kids are inside of the Chicago Children's Museum at the family pavilion. Take a lunch or dinner cruise upon several cruise boats docked at Navy Pier. You can also watch Chinese acrobats from Cirque Shanghai at the Pepsi Skyline Stage daily or you can choose from several eateries that serve everything from kids' meals to elegant sit-down dinners.

      Lincoln Park Zoo

      • Lincoln Park Zoo is a free family-oriented zoo based in Chicago. The zoo offers a unique wildlife experience and is home to more than 1,000 mammals, reptiles and birds. Kids of every age can enjoy the carousel and train ride attraction. There is a gift shop to purchase unique animal toys and keepsakes. You can pack your own lunch, have a picnic at the zoo or eat at the Park Place cafe inside of the food court. The cafe offers various organic foods, sandwiches and Chicago's famous Vienna hot dogs for lunch.

      The Skydeck

      • The Skydeck is Chicago's most visited and highest observatory. You can see 40 to 50 miles away on a clear day. That means you can view the city of Chicago, Michigan, Indiana and even Wisconsin from the Skydeck. If you are not afraid of heights, take the Ledge experience, a glass ledge extended 4.3 feet out from the Skydeck. A kid level display helps children of all ages to get the best view as well.

        The Skydeck is located on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower (formerly named the Sears Tower.) The building is Western Hemisphere's Tallest Building. Interactive kiosks in six different languages offer information on the landmark building.
