Business Administration and Management is the most popular degree in the United States. Other degrees in business include finance, marketing and accounting, all of which are more specialized but potentially more lucrative. You would choose to major in business administration to gain a general knowledge of all aspects of how a business operates. Finance is a math-heavy field, but finance professionals command some of the highest salaries in the world. Marketing is for people who want to learn how to drive sales, which is a useful skill no matter what field you enter. Accounting deals with book-keeping and will always be in demand.
