Meadowlark Gardens makes the perfect backdrop for outdoor weddings. Established in the early 1940s as a country retreat for the Ingrams, one of Griffin's early industrial leaders, the gardens have been lovingly maintained and expanded over the years to include more than 30 beautifully landscaped acres including magnolias, flowering cherries and traditional boxwoods. The gardens have a few indoor spaces, but several outdoor spaces offer shade and shelter, including a veranda and pool house. The Gardens host a limited number of weddings each year for guest lists of 200 people or fewer.

Double Cabins Plantation B&B
-
If you're dreaming of an old-fashioned, plantation-style wedding, consider the Double Cabins Plantation Bed and Breakfast. This 1842 house earned a spot on the National Register of Historic Places by surviving Sherman's infamous march to the sea during the Civil War, and the restored cotton plantation evokes plenty of antebellum charm. You'll find exotic peacocks, rare birds and horses as you stroll the plantation grounds, and the century-old magnolia trees are a pretty setting for ceremonies and pictures.
