Nuendo 4 is the fourth version of an audio post-production software released by Steinberg Creativity First, a corporation specializing in music production, audio and post-production, audio editing, VST instruments and audio hardware. Nuendo 4 is one of its two audio and post-production programs. The program specializes in editing audio as it's recorded live or in post-production. It can be used on a Mac or PC operating system.

  • According to Steinberg, Nuendo 4 creates a digital audio production environment for audio posts and studio productions as well as live recordings. The program comes with a set of next-generation VST3 surround effect plug-ins and is adaptable to have multi-users and multi-seat projects and boosts user efficiency.

PC Requirements

  • To run Nuendo 4 on a computer with a PC-operating system such as Windows, the computer must have an Intel or AMD 2 GHz processor or faster, a minimum of 1GB RAM, a USB port and a DVD-ROM drive. The following versions of Windows are acceptable: Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Home Premium. The computer and monitor must be able to display a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.

Mac Requirements

  • Nuendo 4 runs on two types of Mac computers, the Power Mac G4 1 GHz and Core Solo 1.5 GHz or faster. The computer must also have a minimum of 1GB RAM, a DVD-ROM drive and a USB port. The Mac must also be running the OS X Version 10.4 operating system or higher. Mac users will also need CoreAudio compatible audio hardware. Lastly, the computer and monitor must both be able to display a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
