Sample Questions for How Well the Bride Knows the Groom

Quizzing the bride-to-be on how well she knows her future husband is a popular bridal-shower and bachelorette-party activity. Not only does the game let groups of people from different parts of the bride's life get to know more about the man she's marrying, these games are also a good bonding opportunity and offer plenty of good-spirited giggles as you compare the bride's answers to the groom's.

Basic History

  • Test the bride's knowledge of her fiancee's life -- before they met -- by asking simple questions about his past. Ask what was the name of the first street where he lived, what kind of animal he had as his first pet, what teen-idol poster he had taped to his bedroom wall, who his best friend was in elementary school, what was his favorite breakfast cereal as a child, what he liked most for lunch when he was in elementary school and what his favorite birthday cake was as a child. Also see if the bride can accurately report the color of his first car, how old he was when he had his first kiss, the position he played in little league baseball, how old he was when he learned to swim and his favorite sneakers in elementary and high school.

Likes and Dislikes

  • Check the bride's knowledge of her future husband's tastes by asking her what his favorite drink is, what movies he loves, his favorite restaurant, favorite song and celebrity crush. Follow up by asking her what his pet peeve is, the song that annoys him most, the television show he thinks should be canceled and the thing about wedding planning that's been the most aggravating for him. Ask what his most prized possession is, what his favorite sports team are and what flavor ice cream he's most likely to order.

Silly Questions

  • Ask some questions that the bride will have fun guessing. These might include what super power the groom-to-be would like to have, what movie character he'd want to be, the animal with whom he has the most in common, what his stripper name would be and what invention he'd like to invent.
