ATV Parks in New Jersey
New Jersey is not particularly ATV-friendly. While private ATV riding forums do list places for ATVs to drive, these locations may not be legal. The few legal, official ATV trail opportunities in New Jersey are in facilities shared with MX (motor cross) riders and other off-road variants. There are currently no state-owned facilities, so all locations for ATV parks are fee-based and private.

Atco MX Park

Atco MX Park is located adjacent to the Atco Raceway. The MX Park is open for both "practice" (general ATV riding) and races from March through November. The track has been reconfigured for 2010 and is lit so that it can be used at night. Visitors will need to call ahead to check for events, as races and special events trump general riding. There are between three and five practice days per month, with more in the summer.
The ATV trail has a grandstand area for spectators and caters to riders of all ages, though minors need parental waivers. The Atco MX Park is intended as a motorsports recreational destination, i.e. it comes with concession stands, bathrooms and even an arcade. Spectators and ATV riding participants are both charged fees.

New Jersey Motorsports Park

The New Jersey Motorsports Park is a 700 acre, state-of-the-art facility that is currently under construction. The motorsports park opened in 2008 for special events, but more facilities and tracks are being added. Phase 2 of the construction will see the addition of a combined off-road track which will be open to ATVs; phase 1 is for road racing, a club house and go-karting. Intended as a full-service facility, the park will have hotels, food service and tracks for all kinds of motor sports and is billed as a full-service motorsports destination. Visitors can camp on-site and among the offerings of the motorsports park is track rental.

Old Bridge Township Raceway Park

Old Bridge Township Raceway Park while not an ATV park per se, does offer competitive ATV racing on one of its two tracks. This is a mixed motor sport facility with track racing, practice areas for off-road motorcycles and an off-road racing track. ATV riding is restricted to race days and their associated ATV/quad practice sessions. There is also a peewee (junior) series for younger members. The Raceway season lasts from February through November, and this is a professional venue with frequent events, concession stands, grandstands and other facilities.
