The heart of this biker bar, the Gypsy MC (Motorcycle Club), dates back to 1932 when it was formed in a small Eastern Tennessee town. After changes in leadership and expansion outside of the country, the club became international in 1983 when a chapter started in Germany. The Dallas chapter of the Gypsy MC is the heart and soul of the Big D Gypsy Clubhouse and is open nights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and during the day on Sundays.

Bikers will find Reno's Chop Shop Saloon in the heart of Dallas's Deep Ellum, located just east of downtown proper, where an eclectic mix of "regulars" migrate to indulge in drinking, dancing and body art. (Tattoo parlors and body piercing shops abound on the streets surrounding Reno's Chop Shop.) Reno's is recessed slightly from the main drag of Deep Ellum with bike parking at the front door. Hank's Texas Grill is a straight shot up U.S. 75 (Central Expressway) in the quickly growing Dallas suburb of McKinney, located just 30 miles north of the Big D. With an enclosed patio that's opened up when the weather permits, Hank's features plenty of bike parking, bar seating and live Texas music from Texas songwriters and performers. Although it's slightly removed from the Dallas city limits, Hank's is included in this list of best Dallas biker bars because it has become known by area bikers as a prime spot for bike clubs to gather and even use as a stop on bike rallies and charitable rides.
