Business grants for citizens of Atlanta are offered through focused programs, including those aimed at the economic redevelopment of Atlanta. The grants are designed to empower and enable companies and businesses of all types to acquire the necessary equipment and resources to begin, maintain and grow companies that will expand Atlanta's business economy.

Economic Opportunity Fund (EOF)

The EOF is a closing fund for businesses relocating to Atlanta that may be able to offer a significant level of job creation in the city. The EOF began under the direction of Mayor Shirley Franklin to encourage Atlanta's economic development through increased business opportunities. Employers may propose projects and are evaluated a case by case by the Atlanta Development Authority (ADA) as to the company's ability to maintain business facilities and create jobs in Atlanta.

Regional Economic Business Assistance (REBA) Grant

The REBA job creation incentive program is operated by the State of Georgia. Designed to encourage business relocation into the state, REBA funds may be used to finance fixed-asset needs including infrastructure, construction, machinery, real estate acquisition and equipment. Applicants must provide a state agency recommendation letter, such as one from the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

Tax Allocation Districts (TADs)

TADs are designed to function as incentives for businesses to build in designated areas. Reimbursements are distributed in alignment with infrastructure and singular capital costs. The Atlanta Development Authority (ADA) serves as redevelopment agent for all TADs within Atlanta's city limits. TADs have been established for Atlantic Station, Eastside, BeltLine, Campbellton Road, Hollowell/ML King, Metropolitan Parkway, Westside, Perry-Bolton, Stadium Area and the Princeton Lakes regions.

Homeless Opportunity Fund

The Homeless Opportunity Fund supports creating permanent supportive housing in order to end homelessness in the city of Atlanta. Administered by the ADA, this fund uses revenue bonds and encourages small businesses of all types to submit applications for funds designed for housing project capital. Any individual or business entity may apply for funds relating to specific approved projects as described in the application, such as Service Assisted Housing (Permanent Supportive Housing); Assessment Centers for Women and Children (Shelters); Public Toilets; and any other facility with the goal of ending long-term homelessness. All applications are reviewed and approved on a first-come basis.
