Restaurants of Famous Chefs in Las Vegas

Restaurants of Famous Chefs in Las Vegas thumbnail
Countless famous chefs have restaurants on Las Vegas's Strip.

In 1992, Wolfgang Puck opened Spago at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and he changed the culinary landscape of Las Vegas. He was the first famous or "celebrity" chef to try his hand in Sin City, and when he found great success, others quickly followed. As of February 2010, Puck operated six Las Vegas restaurants, while Emeril Lagasse had four and Bobby Flay had one. They are a few of Las Vegas's famous chefs.

Austrian Wolfgang Puck's trademarked philosophy is, "Eat, Love, Live." His restaurants focus on delivering fresh, natural and organic products. He strives to buy from local farmers and sustainability-focused food purveyors. His food is known for being classically prepared yet contemporary in its aesthetics and innovative in its flavors.

Spago, at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, is designed after Puck's flagship Los Angeles restaurant. The menu focuses on, according to Puck's website, "American cuisine with global accents," and features the chef's classic dishes.

Puck's Postrio Bar & Grill, located in The Venetian, boasts an Italian-leaning menu featuring pizzas, salads and calzones. The setting is casual, both in the dining room and on the "patio" in The Venetian's indoor St. Mark's Square.

Emeril's New Orleans Fish House, in MGM Grand, opened in 1995. It is Lagasse's first Las Vegas restaurant, and it focuses on Creole-style seafood cuisine.

Lagasse's Stadium, at The Palazzo, is an only-in-Las-Vegas combination restaurant, bar and race and sports book. The menu features sports-watching foods and tailgating favorites.
