    The St. Regis Hotel

    • The St. Regis Hotel was built at the request of P. Roberts, a Vancouver real estate developer, in the early years of the 20th century. The architect was W.T. Whiteway, who designed the Sun Tower. It opened in 1913, and at one time the St. Regis had its own hockey team, the St. Regis Hotels. That team played in the Pacific Coast Hockey League. After an extensive renovation, the St. Regis is now a boutique hotel for business travelers with a prime location in Vancouver's bustling downtown area. Patrons have access to the Convention Center, Stanley Park and GM Place. Guests get complimentary breakfast, newspapers, Internet access and local phone calls. Rooms also feature flat-screen TVs, terry cloth robes, media hubs, alarm clocks that are iPod or MP3 compatible, and daily housekeeping. The St. Regis has its own bar, grill and steakhouse, business center, and fitness area.
