Invitations
-
Create hippie-style invitations. Cut peace signs out of construction paper and glue them onto bright-colored blank card stock cards. Glue on beads, punch holes in the card stock and lace a string of beads through the holes, then tie in a knot.
Decorations
-
Set out bean bag chairs for guests to sit on. Hang bead curtains from the doorways. Cut out peace signs and post them on the walls. Use tie-dye tablecloths and napkins. Blow up colorful balloons, then tie on matching ribbons and attach the ribbons to chair backs. Light incense sticks.

Food
-
Make fresh, natural, vegetarian food as people in the 60s were very into foods straight from the Earth and against the slaughter of animals for consumption. Try salads, carrot cake, granola, vegetarian chili and fruit kabobs. For dessert, bake some brownies.
Entertainment
-
Have a 60s karaoke or 60s singalong. Then play a couple of rounds of 60s trivia as a group. Hire a live band to play music from the 60s era and get everyone to dance the moves popular from the time such as "The Twist," "The Watusi," and "The Tighten Up."
Favors
-
Give out some silly party favors that guests can enjoy during the party and after. Sunglasses, hippie wigs, beaded jewelry and peace symbol chains are all fun choices.
