Houseboats can be a fun and original way to spend a vacation with family or friends. Houseboats have many amenities that allow travelers to spend up to a week on the water. Nevada has two lakes where you can experience a houseboat vacation. Lake Mead, near Las Vegas, is the largest man-made lake/reservoir in Nevada. Lake Mohave is southwest of Lake Mead near the town of Laughlin, Nevada.

Two locations in Nevada are used to launch rented houseboats: Callville Bay Resort on Lake Mead and Cottonwood Cove on Lake Mohave. Six houseboat models are available, ranging from the 50-foot Forever 8 with a canopy to the 75-foot Silver Xtreme. Houseboats with two to six bedrooms are available and can accommodate up to 15 people. Options on larger houseboats include television, wet bars and hot tubs.

Seven Crown Resorts has houseboats for rent on Lake Mohave. Four models are available, including the 43-foot Crownship, 47-foot Summit and 56-foot Grand Sierra and Grand Sierra EX. Depending on the model, six to 13 people can sleep comfortably. The Grand Sierra EX includes a water slide, a fly bridge, a shaded roof with lighting and a VCR/DVD player.
