When taking a Mexico vacation, staying in a hut hotel will give you a true taste of authenticity. These are traditional Mexican beach travel accommodations, but they aren't luxurious and often don't have air conditioning. However, most hut hotels are not uncomfortable either. They have ceiling fans, and the construction material keeps the temperature naturally cool.
