Ideas for Christmas Programs

A Christmas program is a gathering creating to celebrate and commemorate Christmas. Many Christmas programs become a tradition in schools, churches and other organizations. A Christmas program should highlight the various traditions and symbols of Christmas and keep the audience entertained through songs, performances and special guest speakers. A choir can be formed highlighting the traditional Christmas hymns, carols and songs. The choir can be the main focus of the program or it can be used to introduce and end the program at the beginning and end.

Hire a bell choir or have some of the people involved in the program learn how to play the bells. A bell choir is perfect for a Christmas program. A bell choir can be used during the time period when people are walking in and finding their seats or as a prelude to the program.

A slide show can be used to highlight different events or activities that members of your organization have done during the Christmas season such as collecting food for the poor, Christmas caroling or serving at a soup kitchen.
