The Spa Looking Bathroom Ideas
In a hectic and stressful world, the bathroom can be another crowded, messy place to get in and out of quickly; or it can be transformed into an oasis of calm and pampering. Turning a bathroom into a mini-spa doesn't have to be a huge, expensive project when a little creativity is used. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Tidy Up
-
Clean the bathroom. To make the bathroom a pleasant place to be, give it a good cleaning and try to tidy up a little each day to keep it looking nice. Vacuum and mop the floors and windows, remove the laundry hamper and find another place to keep it. Put any magazines in a designated rack, and wipe any toothpaste or gunk from the sink.
Decorate Around a Central Theme
-
Give the bathroom a theme. Choose a theme for the spa-inspired bathroom. Purchase decorations and accessories around one idea to tie the room together and give it a distinct feel. A Japanese or Asian motif can be created by adding a miniature rock garden, prints of calligraphy from the Orient, Buddha statues, fans and red-and-black accessories like towels and mats. Consider putting body wash and shampoo into decorated bottles to eliminate unsightly plastic.

Stock the Bathroom Well
-
Splurge a little bit on luxurious bathtime goodies. Find quality soaps, lotions and body treatments to pamper and treat the body and soul, and purchase large, soft towels to wrap up in after a shower. A fizzy bath bomb or pampering face mask is a great way to relax and refresh, spa-style.
Little Touches
-
Cozy up in a nice robe. A waterproof CD player or stereo placed several feet from the bathtub can be used to fill the room with relaxing music, and burning incense will release soothing aromas. Having a plush robe to cozy up in will complete the experience. Soft lighting can give the room gentle ambiance instead of a harsh glare.
