Disney Princess Birthday Crafts
If you're hosting a birthday event for your little princess, organize an assortment of craft projects that help the guests imitate or salute their favorite Disney princesses, such as Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Mulan or Jasmine. Use basic craft supplies and techniques to design magical objects that the children can wear, play with or display at home after the royal festivities. Does this Spark an idea?

Decorated Mirrors
-
Let guests at the princess party decorate glittering mirrors that they can use to see if they're as "fair" as Snow White. Give each child with a plastic hand mirror (sold at dollar stores). Provide an assortment of self-adhesive foam shapes and stickers to decorate the back of the mirror and a selection of paint pens to add doodles or text around the outside edge of the mirror itself.
Princess Frames
-
Help the children create pink foam picture frames to display a group picture from the princess birthday party. Use scissors or a craft knife to cut 5-by-7-inch pieces of pink or lavender craft foam with a 4-by-6-inch opening in the center to showcase the photo. Let the children decorate the frames with stickers of Disney princesses or related shapes such as castles, magic wands, flowers or stars. Take a picture of party guests and print a copy for each guest on a home photo printer. Tape the picture to the back of the frame. Place two to three strips of magnetic tape adhesive along the back to hang it on a refrigerator.

Fairy Godmother Wands
-
Party guests don't need to be Cinderella to summon a fairy godmother with a magical wand. Organize a simple craft to help the children make their own. Give each guest two 2- to 3-inch chipboard stars (sold at scrapbook or craft stores). Use scissors to round the star's "points," so they won't poke the children. Let the guests decorate their stars with glitter glue or markers. Use white glue to affix the stars back to back with a 6-inch-long 1/4- to 1/2-inch-wide wood dowel placed in between them.
Princess Necklace
-
Allow older children to design princess necklaces featuring clear, colorful plastic buttons as magical "gems." Measure and cut a piece of elastic stretch cord (sold at jewelry-making shops) that's long enough to tie in a knot and slip over the child's head. Provide the children with 1-inch-long pieces of white plastic drinking straws and buttons that "match" a Disney princess, such as light blue for Cinderella, gold for Belle, aqua for Ariel or green "jade" for Mulan.
Show the princess party guests how to string the necklaces by alternating buttons and pieces of straw until the entire strand is full. Tie the ends of the cord in a knot to complete the piece of jewelry. Ensure that princesses are old enough to avoid putting small objects in their mouths since the plastic buttons can be choking hazards.
