Active Directory Tools for XP
Active Directory, or AD, is a directory developed by Microsoft and included with the Windows 2000 version of Microsoft’s operating systems. Windows 2000 has the ability to use AD because it is built into the OS. However, Windows XP Professional is the only XP version capable of accessing the AD and only with the help of plug-ins. Once AD is ready to use, various tools are available to help in searching the directory, setting up users, monitoring the network and more. Most of these tools are command line tools and give the user better access to search the directory.
