ATV & Dunn Buggy Trails in Georgia
According to the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Georgia receives approximately 13 million visitors each year. Many come to Georgia for the ATV and dune buggy trails. The state has over 14 privately owned and National Forest off-highway vehicle (OHV) areas, in a variety of terrains, distances and difficulties. Many of these trails are not just suitable for ATV's and dune buggy vehicles, but also for motorcycles and mountain bicycles.

Rocky Flats OHV Trail

Rocky Flats OHV Trail area is located approximately eight miles north of Chatsworth. The trail, which is looped, a little less than four miles in length and is open to four-wheel drive vehicles, such as ATVs and dune buggies. The Rocky Flats OHV Trail is also appropriate for motorcycles and mountain bicycles. The trail is challenging and offers riders quick sharp turns through an array of landscapes, from piney woods to grassy Mountains.

Rocky Creek Trail

Rocky Creek Trail is a privately owned off road park that is open to the general public, with over 20 miles of trails. The trails feature ponds, mud puddles, dirt jumps and scenic pathways. Trails are located about 15 miles south of Barnesville and are considered easy, but muddy rides that are safe for even the youngest of OHV enthusiasts. The Rocky Creek trails are open most weekends calling prior to visiting is advised.

Tatum Lead OHV Trail

Tatum Lead OHV Trail is approximately five and a half miles in length, and offers riders dense woody pathways and rocky narrow ridge-lines along the Tatum Mountain. The trail is suitable for four-wheel drive vehicles, mountain bicycles and motorbikes. The trail area is located approximately ten miles east of Chatsworth and dead-ends at private land where riders have to stop, turn around and ride back.

Beasley Knob OHV Trail System

The Beasley Knob OHV Trail System is open to ATV's, motorcycles, dune buggies and four-wheel drive vehicles. The trail is approximately 10.8 miles in length and is located roughly five miles east of Blairsville, off Forest Service Road #93. The Beasley Knob OHV Trail System is comprised of eight off-trails that are interconnected and are labeled from difficult to most difficult. Because most trails have very steep terrain they are only suitable for experienced OHV riders.

Locust Stake OHV Trail System

Locust Stake OHV Trail System's is a little less than 10 miles long, and offers riders easy to highly difficult trails for all 48" axle off-road vehicles. The trails are only open to licensed riders and drivers according to the state of Georgia's motor vehicle laws. During the wet months of the year, from January 1 through March 31, the trails are closed to all vehicles. The trail system is located approximately 12 miles north of Cornelia.
