Sunrise, Arizona, located at the eastern end of the state and roughly 150 miles from Phoenix, is the site of the Sunrise Ski Resort, a popular weekend getaway for locals. Even though this is in Arizona, don't expect to see sprawling desert and cacti because this is the mountains.
