God's Eye
-
God's eye is a simple yarn and craft stick project that can be used to create a mobile or to make a display that hangs in front of a window. Glue two craft sticks together in the shape of a cross with craft glue. Once the sticks are dry, begin wrapping them in yarn, starting in the center, by wrapping the yarn around one craft stick and around the next one in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. Continue to wrap the yarn until it's one-half inch from the end of the sticks. Secure the yarn with a dot of glue or a knot. Use several colors of yarn to make the project more interesting.
Door Hanger
-
A craft stick door hanger is an easy project that decorates a bedroom door. Glue five jumbo craft sticks together along the edges to create a sheet. Glue a small craft stick at the top and the bottom of the sheet to stabilize it. Paint the assembled piece any color you like. Decorate it with stickers, rhinestones, feathers or other embellishments to make it your own. Tie a piece of yarn in a loop to the end of the small craft stick at the top of the door hanger.
