Pozole is a Mexican restaurant and tequila bar located in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta. In addition to a menu serving many Mexican favorites, the restaurant offers more than 50 tequilas and 20 specialty drinks. There is always a lively crowd, especially late on Thursday nights when people take advantage of the half-off late night menu. In addition to being known for their tequila selection, regulars go for the tacos, which include shrimp and lobster varieties.

Uncle Julio's Casa Grande

The first Uncle Julio's Casa Grande opened in Dallas, Texas in 1986. Since then, 13 restaurants have opened in five states, including the Atlanta location. The first image you will see is the bright smiling face of Uncle Julio that is plastered on the sign outside the brightly-colored restaurant. Once inside, you will find a more upscale dining setting with large, vibrant crowds of people drinking Uncle Julio's famous Swirl (a layered frozen margarita and sangria drink) and munching on quesadillas, tacos and enchiladas.
