Automobile enthusiasts in New York have dozens of car clubs at their disposal where they can show off their ride and make new friends. These car clubs not only connect New Yorkers with a love of automobiles, they also give members an array of benefits, such as entry into car shows and special members-only trips. Many of these New York car clubs welcome auto aficionados who own cars of all makes and models.

Classic Car Club Manhattan

Classic Car Club was founded in London in 1995 and quickly spread throughout Europe and the United States. The Manhattan branch is the original U.S. branch. Members of the club get to drive the club's classic cars, which are considered the greatest cars built over the past 50 years, from a 1965 Shelby Cobra to the latest Lotus sports car. The club also holds several yearly events such as race track days and parties. The club lounge is open 24 hours a day for members and their guests.

Dream Machines Car Club

Dream Machines Car Club is located in central New York, just northwest of Syracuse, and is a member of the Central New York Car Club Association. Rather than create committees and councils, the Dream Machines Car Club operates without official rules or charters so that members have more time to focus on the cars themselves. Membership is open to owners of all makes and models of cars. As an added perk, members gain access to the club auto shop and storage facility.

Finger Lakes Classic Chevy Club

Though owning a classic Chevy car is suggested, it isn't a requirement to join Finger Lakes Classic Chevy Club. This automobile club was established in 1980 and is the local chapter of Classic Chevy International. Finger Lakes Classic Chevy Club is a nonprofit that also serves as a way to get to know other members. The club holds monthly meetings on the second Saturday of each month, as well as parades, picnics, cruises and the annual Caledonia Car Show.

Long Island Vettes

This nonprofit automobile club was founded in 2001 and originally limited membership to people who owned Corvettes made before 1982. The club has since relaxed this requirement, accepting members who own Corvettes made in any year. The club works closely with other local Corvette clubs to hold an assortment of events throughout the year, such as cruises, auto shows and social gatherings.
