The one-star Hotel Lloret is located at the top of the Las Ramblas facing the Canaletes Fountain in Placa de Catalunya, and adjacent to some of the best high-end shopping in Barcelona. Founded in 1926, the Hotel Lloret shows off its historic past with its red velvet lobby and wrought iron balconies overlooking Las Ramblas. Hotel Sant Agusti

Located in a quiet, hidden square 50 meters off of Las Ramblas, the three-star Hotel Sant Agusti is a great choice if you want to be near the always busy Las Ramblas, but prefer a tranquil hotel off the beaten path. Built in 1720, the Hotel Sant Agusti was once a convent, but was converted in the 19th century into Barcelona's first hotel. Each of the 77 rooms are simply furnished and contain flat-screen satellite TVs, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, safety deposit boxes, and private bathrooms. Many rooms also have the original wood beams and old, exposed stone walls. For families, triples and family rooms are available. In 2010, double rooms were priced at around $150 U.S.
