Atlanta is the largest city in Georgia and has a lot to offer in terms of activities and attractions. There are the sports teams to check out, including the Atlanta Falcons (NFL), Braves (MLB), Thrashers (NHL) and Hawks (NBA), and there are plenty of other fun things to do while in the city. This includes visiting the Alliance Theater, one of the largest regional theaters in the United States, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the Atlanta Opera and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. There are also plenty of great little restaurants and diners in Atlanta where you can refuel after a long day of activities.

Ria's Bluebird serves both breakfast and lunch in a casual, family friendly atmosphere. The breakfast menu features biscuits and gravy, fish and grits, huevos, brisket, pancakes and oatmeal. The lunch menu offers sandwiches (roast beef, Reuben, chicken salad, BBQ veggie riblet, turkey melt, grilled cheese and a chicken BLT), soups and salads, quesadillas and daily specials. Another casual, family friendly diner serving breakfast and lunch in Atlanta is the Thumb's Up Diner. Breakfast is served all day long. The menu features omelets, sandwiches, build your own breakfast plates, burgers, melts, soups and salads, and tacos. Thumb's Up Diner is a cash-only business, but there is an ATM on the premises. Takeout is also available. The diner does not accept reservations.

Landmark Diner

The Landmark Diner has two locations in Atlanta. There's one in the Buckhead area (address below) and another one at 2277 Cheshire Bridge Road NE. Both are open 24 hours and welcome families and children, and there is a separate children's menu. There is also a separate breakfast menu, which features omelets, french toast, pancakes and waffles. The lunch and dinner menus include such items as sandwiches and burgers, salads, Greek and Italian dishes, chicken and veal meals, seafood and steak.
