Discovery Charter School is a whole-child educational facility that respects individual learning styles, developmental readiness and achievement. The school mission is to support the whole child to develop into a lifelong learner through family, community and developmentally based teaching. The small, multi-aged classes have a high level of participation from parents and community members. Ida Price Middle School

Ida Price Middle School is a part of the Cambrian School District that consists of five schools that are situated on four square miles in West San Jose. The district's mission is to prepare students to be critical thinkers and effective communicators geared toward success in the world. Home to the highest grades in the district, the Ida Price Middle School has a separate curriculum for each core course such as language arts and social studies for each grade level from six to eight. Campus programs include the Homework Center that is open to all students, available three days a week, and has tutors to aid students in any academic work they need additional help with. Other programs include a focus in music and various sports activities such as cross-country track, volleyball and girls' and boys' basketball.

Leadership Public Schools (LPS) San Jose

Leadership Public Schools (LPS) San Jose is a secondary charter high school that prepares its graduating student body for success in college and leadership in the community. The network of LPS charter high schools includes campuses in Oakland, Richmond and Hayward as well. The safe and small San Jose school provides students with an educational environment that has teachers and administrators dedicated to student success. LPS San Jose provides students with a college-ready curriculum that includes a writing assessment program that is linked to the California State University placement tests. Other college preparatory features at the school include a college-ready culture and supports that include individualized schedules.
