Dog & Cat Dress Up Games
Children may long to dress up their pet dog or cat in various clothing and accessories. While kids may enjoy the experience, the pets probably will not. As an alternative, there are a number of online dress-up games to satisfy the children's desire to dress up dogs and cats--while keeping their own pets happy as well.

The American Girl website, Americangirl.com, features Coconut & Licorice Dress and Print, in which players place West Highland terrier Coconut and his feline friend Licorice in various scenes and adorn them with clothing and accessories.
On the right side of the screen, players click on scenes, stars, friends, outfits, gear and objects. Upon choosing a category, a selection of items appear across the bottom of the screen. Players position the mouse over the arrows to show more choices, and when they see an animal or item they want to add to the scene, they click on the item and drag it up.
Items are made smaller or larger by selecting the item, clicking and dragging any square handle. Players may rotate items by clicking and dragging any round handle. When players are satisfied with their creations, they can print the scene.
Cute Picnic

A cat and dog prepare for an outdoor picnic in the Cute Picnic game found at the Games2Girls.com site. When players place the mouse over the picnic basket, they click "Click me" to bring up a variety of plates, blankets, picnic baskets, food and drink items. When a player clicks on a selection, the item appears in the scene. Players click the arrows to move to the next category of items.
After setting the picnic scene, players place the mouse over the canine/feline couple (one at a time) and proceed to select breed, coat coloring and an outfit. Any time a player wants to start over, they click "Reset" in the upper left corner of the screen.
Players who want a quick idea of how the dog and cat look in various scenes may click "Shuffle" in the upper left corner; this shows the couple in various incarnations, with different blankets, foods, outfits and hats.

Me and My Pet

A girl and her pet dog receive the dress-up treatment in this game at the GirlsGames24.com site. Players double-click on the top and bottom parts of an outfit, which then appear on the girl. After clicking "Next," players choose her lipstick, blush and eyeliner and then choose her hairstyle.
It's then the doggy's turn, as players choose top and bottom clothing, as well as hairstyle and leash. With both girl and dog dressed, the screen shows players the before and after images.
Cute Marie

A real cat may not like a hat, but "Cute Marie" will not mind one in the online game. Anyone who wants to dress up a cat, sans a dog companion, can play Cute Marie at the Hotgamesforgirls.com site. The bottom right box contains various outfits and accessories, while the bottom left box has bows, glasses, footwear and wings. Players click on a box and drag an item from the box to Marie; the item instantly appears in its proper spot.
When players finish choosing items, they click on the box to put all the items away. If players do not like their selected choices of attire, they click "Reset" on the bottom left of the screen. When players are satisfied with their selections and want to see Marie placed in a flashy scene, they click "Show."
