Retail Christmas Display Ideas
Perhaps this is the first Christmas in your new business and you want to come up with a Christmas display that will blow your customers away. Or, maybe you have been using the same old display year after year and want to create a new display that will allow you to attract more customers and impress old ones as well. Regardless, you might take several approaches.
-
Outside the Mainstream
-
Creating a Christmas display that will wow the public can be as easy as designing a display that is truly unique in its concept. A unique design might be outside the mainstream, in that it offers a new take on a tried-and-true concept. A great idea for a variation on a Christmas tree scene might be to decorate a red tree with unusual ornaments For example, if you live in a drier climate, rather than using the traditional apples and oranges in a Christmas tree display, use local produce such as cactus fruit.
Incorporate your Products or Service
-
Another approach to a Christmas display is to use items for sale in your business as a part of your display's design. For example, if your business is a bakery, you can set a plate of cookies out for Santa as a part of scene that includes Santa mannequin sneaking across the floor to grab a cookie left out for him. You might also want to include concepts into your design that are funny For instance, if you're a lawyer, you may choose to create a funny scene with Santa coming down the chimney. You can then create a funny slogan to go along with your scene perhaps regarding breaking-and-entering and, in his case, how it can be overlooked. If you have a car parts business, paint cars parts (lightweight ones) decorative colors and hang them from the tree.

Have a Contest
-
Consider allowing children from a local school or children of staff members to create your Christmas display. Or you may even create a contest surrounding your front window, display giving local artists a chance to design the perfect Christmas scene. You may also have a contest where customers can submit suggestions and then these ideas can either be voted on or you can choose a winner randomly (by conducting a raffle) or just by picking the one you like most.
