Blood Alcohol Content

According to the DUIDrivinglaws.org, Nevada law considers drivers with a blood alcohol content of .08 as drunk drivers. Those under 21 and commercial drivers are subject to limits of .02 and .04 respectively. Additionally, you can be arrested for limits under .08 if you have also been using drugs.
Drugs Only

According to DMV.org, people driving under the influence of drugs are subject to at least the same penalties as those for drunk drivers, and even stricter ones in some cases.

First Conviction

The first conviction carries a jail term from 2 days to 6 months and a fine ranging from 400 to 1,000 dollars. You can also receive 96 hours of community service in lieu of jail. You cannot drive for 90 days, but you can sometime receive a restricted license 45 days into the suspension that will allow you to drive to work and back. You also need to pay for DUI School tuition--the average cost being 150 dollars.
Second Conviction

If you are convicted of a second offense within 7 years, the state will suspend your license for one year with no chance of receiving a restricted license. You will spend 10 days to 6 months in jail or under house arrest. The fine ranges for 750 to 1,000 dollars and you receive 100 to 200 hours of mandatory community service. The court can order you to undergo substance abuse counseling or clinical supervision for up to one year.
Third Conviction

Penalities for your third conviction and beyond within 7 years includes jail time ranging from 1 to 6 years with a fine of 2,000 to 5,000 dollars. You might qualify for a restricted license after a period of time but the official suspension period lasts three years. You might have to suspend your vehicle registration and undergo 3 years of a DUI program or treatment.
DUI Causing Death or Serious Injury

If you get convicted of a DUI that causes death or serious injury you cannot drive for three years, have to pay a fine of 2,000 to 5,000 dollars and serve at least two years in jail and up to 20.
